Kids pick the winners at Nickelodeon’s 2nd yearly Young ones’ Choice Sports Awards

Last Thursday in la, Ca, Nickelodeon showered top athletes with orange blimp trophies and a lot of green slime. The children’ possibility Sports Awards honored retired nyc Yankee Derek Jeter, the World Cup winner U.S. women’s soccer team, and many other celebrity players. Seattle Seahawk’s quarterback Russell Wilson hosted the big event.

Baseball star Derek Jeter won the Legend Award, which honors athletes “who would be the ultimate part models to young ones throughout the world, inspiring generations year in year out, ” based on Nickelodeon.
Jeter is a five-time World Series champ which played two decades with the Yankees. He has got received numerous honors, including World Series MVP in 2000.
